Get ready for hands-on experience where you are an integral member of a team where your ideas matter! You will be a part of our passionate, creative team, helping produce projects that engage, educate, and entertain a global audience across all of our social media platforms.
This is an opportunity to learn the inner workings of the lifestyle influencer industry while learning best practices for digital storytelling and marketing.
The ideal candidate for this position lives in the DMV area and has a genuine interest in storytelling, photography, and video editing, and an outstanding grasp of the digital media landscape, including social media platforms and online marketing. Superb written and verbal communication skills, and creativity are a must.
The position is primarily remote, but we may periodically need on-site assistance with content production.
Requirements
Recent graduates or students currently pursuing Marketing, PR, Communications, or related degrees
Coursework and/or experience in digital content creation
Proficiency with photo and video editing software, including Photoshop, iMovie, and/or Final Cut Pro
Knowledge of digital videography, photography, cameras and related equipment
Working knowledge of SEO/optimizing online content
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Active, engaged, and knowledgeable social media user
Organized, self-starter, and creative
A solid understanding of all major social media platforms, including Instagram and YouTube
Experience
Video Editing: 1 year (Required)
Photography: 1 year (Required)
Editorial: 1 year (Recommended)
Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the end-to-end process from storyboarding to logistics to shooting to editing and publishing
Actively tracking timelines, project communications and deliverables for a variety of projects
Assisting with live and onsite production, as needed
Communicating and collaborating with team and management to come up with creative strategy and direction
Updating weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brand partnerships on various social media outlets
Compensation
Unpaid, but candidates who receive college credit are preferred
Schedule
Flexible schedule, but must commit to 10-15 hours per week
